Kirk L. Moon, Jr., M.D.

American Board of Radiology, 1984

Dr. Moon is the Chairman and Medical Director of the Department of Radiology at California Pacific Medical Center in San Francisco. He was a resident in Diagnostic Radiology and completed the first fellowship in Magnetic Resonance Imaging at the University of California, San Francisco. He authored many early research papers on MRI and served as the Director of MRI at California Pacific Medical Center for 18 years before becoming the Chairman of the Department. He has a Certificate of Added Qualification in Neuroradiology from the American Board of Radiology and a clinical interest in all aspects of Neuroradiology and MRI. He is active in a wide variety of Medical Staff activities and is a member of the Executive Committee of the California Radiological Society.
