Dr. Johnson has been on the staff at Mills-Peninsula Hospitals and San Mateo
County General Hospital since 1980. He offers many years of clinical experience
as well as leadership experience, including medical director of the San Mateo
Imaging Center (MRI) since its inception in 1985, medical director of the Department
of Radiology, Peninsula Hospital since 1992, and medical director of the
Mills-Peninsula Hospitals School of Radiologic Technology since 1994. He most
recently served as the chairman of the Department of Radiology for Mills-Peninsula
Hospitals from 1996-2000.
Dr. Johnson is a current avid tennis player, and a former collegiate rower, having
won a national rowing championship in 1971 followed by international competition
as a member of the US Rowing Team. He currently lives in Hillsborough with his wife
Joan and three children, Christopher, Derek and Kaitlin.
